Our programs are open to everyone, and so is every role within the Institute.

The Atlantic Institute does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, marital status or any other protected characteristic. This applies to every program, trip and event we run, to volunteering, and to every aspect of employment.

Where it applies

This policy applies to admission to and participation in all of our programs, trips, events and services; to volunteering; and to every aspect of employment, including recruitment, hiring, pay, promotion, training, discipline and termination.

Interfaith by design

Our work brings together people of different faiths and of none. Participation in any Institute program is never conditioned on a person’s religion or belief, and no participant is asked to take part in a religious observance they do not choose.

Accessibility and accommodation

We make reasonable accommodations so that people with disabilities can take part in our programs and work with us. Tell us what you need when you register, or contact us at any time, and we will arrange it wherever we can.

Reporting a concern

If you believe you have been treated in a way that breaches this policy, tell us. Contact us using the details in the footer. Concerns are looked into promptly, and no one is penalised for raising one in good faith.
